Rumors and Mr. and Mrs. Fitch

Busy weekend!  Friday night at the Melbourne Civic Theater we saw Rumors

which was absolutely wonderful! Great acting, a marvelous set...this comedic farce had it all!

Last night it was Mr. and Mrs. Fitch at Titusville Playhouse 2.  We enjoyed it.

Our regional theater here on the Space Coast is good and getting better every year it seems. Love it here!

Hitting the road with the RV for a bit...

We'll be heading out today with our Space Coast Sams group to Lazy Days CG near Tampa. From there some of us are going directly to Hillsborough River State Park.  Being in a Good Sam Chapter is a good way to get out at least monthly with your friends and keep the cobwebs off the RV :)

This is my "rant" in a letter to the Editor of Florida Today:
We have been going to the TiCo Warbird Airshow in Titusville for many years.  Yesterdays show was, as usual, excellent and you can tell a lot of people put in a lot of volunteer time and effort for this event to be so seamlessly wonderful.  But, there is always room for improvement, and there was one thing that did not sit well with me, or the people I attended the show with......the Thunderbirds production.  Don't misread me here please...the flying and precision, as always, was awesome and inspiring. The Air Force does send their best pilots, no doubt. That being said though, the pre-show hoopla was too long, too self-congratulatory and the real kicker was the 'music' that was not only too loud but extremely irritating.  We were prisoners being forced to listen to TERRIBLE sounds for at least 20 minutes before the first Thunderbird left the ground.  If they had timed it right, and had the demonstration start right after the enlistment ceremonies, and  had chosen either patriotic music or anything else that was NOT an irritant, we would have left the show with a smile on a face instead of the comment: "WHAT were they thinking, and WHO do they think is their audience?".  Because of this, I will probably NOT attend another air show where the Thunderbirds perform...it was that off-putting.  Sorry for my negativity on this, but it really was a bummer.

Poor service from AT&T and Apple is aggravating!

I've had an I-phone since the first one (won it at Foxwoods Casino in a random drawing while I was playing penny slots)....and of all the i-phones since we never had a mechanical problem. A few weeks ago, on arising from my well-earned sleep, I went to turn on the iphone 7+ and a new software "home" button had installed overnight on the screen, and there was a note that the mechanical home button needed service. I looked at the home button (the mechanical one) and sure nuff there was a diagonal crack in it. We immediately trekked down to AT&T here in Titusville where we'd ordered the last one, and they cheerfully told me it was not their issue (under the insurance) since it was obviously a mechanical defect (the phone is 6 months old) and they told me to contact Apple. I looked up Apple for the Florida Mall, called and was told graciously that they were sorry for my troubles, and then they proceeded to make an appointment for me. When I got there the gal immediately told me "Oh, that's screen damage, and not covered. Hope you have insurance!". So, off I went BACK to AT&T and then they gave me the phone number and URL to report the claim. I went home, did that, and today (just 3 days later) rec'd me new 128GB God Iphone 7+ in the mail and have transferred everything over to the new phone, bricked the old phone, and packaged it for shipment back to AT&T.

So, long story short, all is well that ends well BUT....the entire experience was made nasty by the poor communications which necessitated an unnecessary drive of over 100 miles, the loss of time....the using up of a deductible and claim free experience when it is very obvious to ME that the actual home button, made of sapphire, was defective and SHOULD have been covered under the warrantee. Things do not usually BREAK by themselves sitting on a dresser overnight. It's enough to make you weep!

Nice weekend at Ocklawaha RV KOA Resort on Rodman Lake....

We came back mid-afternoon Sunday from our jaunt to Ocklawaha RV KOA in Ocklawaha Florida, which is just behind the back of beyond.  But, it's a nice campground!  It is very remote to so-called civilization (read Wal-Mart) the shortest way to get there being a nice scenic drive on a dirt forest road (Ocala National Forest) for about 20 miles...Next time we WILL pack more groceries for the weekend!  Anyway, a nice time was had and it was very different: https://goo.gl/photos/TJgt7qLYHMdNHq8YA  Click the link to view a Google Photo Album, including video clips, from this event.
