Apple Sport Watch being delivered today....

Well, it's finally being delivered today....I ordered the Apple Watch on April 10th, but the model I chose (Sport watch, aluminum with black band) was what about 75% of the world also ordered...so there's been a bit of a wait.  Looking forward to learning it and incorporating it into my digital life.  I've pretty much been an Apple fan since my first Apple IIe PC, and I've gone through all the upgrades to the i-phone since I won the first one at Foxwoods when they first came out. They certainly make life digitally interesting! :).

June 3rd:  The Apple Watch arrived on May 29th.  After reading all the articles and hype, I thought it would take me at least 4 days with it to get comfortable...and it didn't.  I was actually "good to go" by Sunday the 31st, so when I had my on-line scheduled session with Apple on June 2nd I had very few questions.

I'm using the "simple is better" approach with the traditional watch face.  In the upper left I have an icon for a timer (I use it all the time for cooking),  on the right the current Titusville weather, and on the bottom it lists the next upcoming event on my Calendar.  It goes from 6am to 10-11pm with no battery issues...I just put it on the magnetic charger when I go to bed after I plug in the i-phone and i-pad.  No muss, no fuss.  It is very nice NOT having to pull out the phone to see what time it is, and what's coming up on the calendar, and to also be able to send and receive calls and texts from the wrist - very Dick Tracy stuff, but Alice has always said I love my gadgets.

This is a link to a review from someone who has had the watch a lot longer than me.....Four weeks:

Had a NICE visit with Tony and Alissa last week.....

Tony and Alissa flew in from CT last week and we had a great visit.  We set them up in our motor-home at Manatee Hammock and it worked out good for sleeping quarters for them.  Photo above is us on an air-boat tour-ride from Midway Air-boats
